Good riddance!!!
I say this even though we'll probably have a right coalition after these elections. Left could have formed a solid coalition after the last elections but thanks to Bos, it did not happen. I have not forgotten that, nor have I forgotten the PVDA's politics over these past few years. I think they lost a great part of their electorate and justly so. With Jan out of the picture, no I seriously don't see a left coalition this time.
Well then, if it has to be a right coalition, so be it. I'll hate it and hopefully it will fall soon. But at least we are rid of Balkenende... (nightmare thought: Balkenende V - EEK!!!)
I hope Wilders will be an improvement over Rouvoet (he'll be just as terrible, I expect, but in another direction). These past years have been a morality crusade against coffeeshops, prostitution, abortion, and even evolution teaching at schools, with preachy advice over morals and values from my government who exibited none itself. I'm happy to be rid of that.
Considering the economic situation, this is the worst possible thing that could happen to my country. I hope there won't be any major financial meltdowns during the three months it will take to get a new government. Meanwhile, the demissionary government will take care of business.
